ApFileVersionInformation

With this component you can read the version information from a file. The version information ressource has to conform to the Microsoft standard for version information because the component uses the Windows API to read them. So there is no possibility to read other formats but in most cases it should do the job.

If you need a more flexible solution you can have a look at Version Information Manipulator Library. With this library it should be possible to read all version information ressources even such that do not conform to Microsoft standard.
